The Excalibur Sureflo® Value Reverse Osmosis System is an under-sink water filtration system designed for everyday drinking, cooking, coffee and tea. Its three-stage design combines carbon filtration with a reverse osmosis membrane to reduce chlorine, unwanted tastes and odours, and total dissolved solids (TDS).

How the 3-stage RO system works

1. Carbon pre-filter: Helps reduce chlorine and protects the RO membrane.
2. Reverse osmosis membrane: Reduces dissolved solids in the water.
3. Carbon post-filter: Polishes the filtered water for a fresher taste.

The carbon filters sit in stages one and three; the membrane is stage two.

Filter replacement

Excalibur recommends replacing the carbon pre-filter and post-filter at least every 12 months. Its manual recommends replacing the RO membrane every 18 months, or sooner depending on local water conditions and system performance.

For well water, have the water assessed before installation; the system should not be used to make microbiologically unsafe water safe to drink without adequate disinfection.
